I have a 1973 Trans Am, I have been unable to locate the build sheet. My Uncle is the original owner, I have talked to him about it. He says he has never attempted to look for it..... Any suggestions on where to look so I don't end up tearing my whole car apart looking for it?

under one of the seats, usually the drivers front or drivers rear, it will be pressed between the springs more than likely, be careful. what's the specs on the T/A? got any pics?

It's a bone stock Super Duty. Its all original, unmolested. I would really love to locate the actual build sheet. I have already purchased the the paperwork from PHS last year. I would just be a happier man with original paperwork. I would love to be able to locate it. I'm going to start searching for it this Saturday.

the left one, has a lemans hood on it due to the fact that the fan grenaded with the 421 and went through the hood, I have a new GTO hood but have yet to get it painted. The 421 is now on a engine stand, collecting dust. Both grilles were cracked so they both have LeMans grilles, I decided to redo the G.T.O. emblems for the grilles, but as you can see I got side tracked and have yet to put them on. The vert will run high 12s and the hard top runs mid-low 10s, the 06 runs high 12 low 13s.

I found the build sheet for my 70 SS396 El Camino on top of the gas tank. I have heard of them under the carpet, in the seats, attached to back side of the door panels, behind the glove box. Good luck!

Under rear seat in the springs is where I found mine, take detailed pictures of it before you remove it in case it gets f`d up.
On top of the gas tank is a very popular place, in door panels also.
Good luck.

Congrats on the purchase, I had a 74 SD Formula for a while. As well as a 71 HO T/A,,,both 4 speeds.
I can tell you this much, I currently have a 70 ram air formula, found my build sheet on top of the gas tank. Car was manufactured at the Van Nuys Plant,,,sometimes this makes a difference.
My chevelle also had it's build sheet on top of the gas tank.
My fathers GTO that he bought new also had it's build sheet on top of the tank. This is not always the case but seems to be a popular spot among various cars. Larry.

Thanks for that pontiac web site!! They have a lot of great information there.
Larry,
Thanks for the help. That was last last place I checked before I put it away for storage. Apparently I still have to check both door panels, and under the carpet, and possibly on top of the glove box.....Thanks for the info. everyone
