I've been doin small things to my SS lately and i've been thinkin of putting drag radials out back to get better launchs. It's got a SLP MAF, cold air induct, and 4.10's, Soon to be gettin long tubes and possible heads and intake. now I do go to the track every so often and afteri put the 410 in it slowed down my ET but about 2 tenths and my mph went up about 5 mph so i'am gunna put on drag radials i've heard that with a 6spd it will blow the rear end out???:hmm:

Why did your car slow down with the 4.10s? Was it a traction problem? The stock rear-end will work for a while-depends on how hard you launch.

yeah you could say i had traction problems,I had a friend video tape the runs and all the way down the track you could see the car sway back and forth about 6-8 inches and when i shift it's alot more, it picked up my MPH alot but i could not get out of the hole and second was almost sideways

4.10s have smaller teeth than the stock 3.42s. When people switcht to the 4.10s on a stock rear it usually seems that they break the gear set quite a bit more often than other parts.

Ditch that 10 bolt now before it breaks.

With Drag radials and 4.10s in your stock rear you'd better have a toe truck standing by

If you dont launch above 2 grand you will probably be ok, but def put a 12 bolt or even a ford 9'' in soon, i recomend a ford 9'', bulletproof
