I have 4.11 gears and was cruising through the neigborhood @ 25 mph in OD. Slammed gas to the floor and it downshifted into 1st with a big loud clunk, met with free revs= broken sunshell. Limped it home and put it in the garage. It's a slow project, but I'm in no hurry. The only thing that won't be upgraded is the input/output shafts and the planetaries (if they check out ok).

I knew tha it was only a matter of time before it would let go. Now it is being build heavy duty and will have a vid stall converter when it goes back in.

Oops. I have heard that is one of the weak points in our trannys.
There is one out there (I think it is called The Beast) that won't do that.

Everything is being upgraded except the planetaries.
