No, Y2KPewterSS did it for me and all he did was yank the factory piece off and then put the new one on. It took about 20mins or so and was complete.

From start to finish about 20 minutes expired. We spent more time trying to get a working flashlight than anything. I think actual labor time was 8 minutes.

Now everyone needs to ask Siggy how many years will lapse before he does another mod to his car :D

Not long. The remove a nail from the tire mod is soon to come. :(

In my terms it would be a mod since they are few and far between.

the more i look at your grille makes me wish mine was high gloss like yours, only bad part is mine will take paint to fix.

Besides painting it the same body color, ...

Not a fan of that grille, especially on my car. Looks best on dark colored cars IMO.

Not a fan of that either. I've actually pictured that since installing it and it just doesn't look right.

Why does yours have to be repainted? They don't make a gloss grille for the LT cars?

That's right, I had a '94 Z28. I forgot it was all one piece.

this is actually suprisingly easy to fix! Never doing body work before myself, i got brave one day and go some black trim paint from autozone (i went with flat like factory, but gloss would work too!) and fixed my 96 myself -- headlight inset and grill. just carefully tape up the lines with some good masking tape (and i had some plastic to cover larger areas)... scuff and sand it (do this AFTER taping so you don't screw up the edges).

actually looked really good! My theory at the time was that it already looked bad (little grooves and yellow showing through), couldn't make it much worse!
