does the z28 have a shut off? because i was runnin with one on the highway and it juts seemed to die out.. so shut off? or something? maybe he just cut back... im not sure...

fuel cut-off at 155mph.

Earlier models with non Z rated tires ie. RSA's (which are now Z rated) had a "limiter". maybe he didn't want to waste gas ? :dunno:

i have a 98 z28 and it like shuts off at 115 or so ? i wasnt sure if that was normal or not i just went along with it.:shrug:

If they come from the factory with Z rated tire then the cutoff is somewhere between 155mph and 163mph. depending on the Z28 and SS.
my SS i used to have was around 162mph.

My buddie has a 00 Z28 A4 (bonestock) , and it cut-off on him somewhere around 120ish , kinda sucks - he found that out while racing an RX8. It doesnt do that anymore though , he bought a handheld programmer.
