Hi! I'm new here and thought maybe someone could help me. I have a 2004 GTO but I would like to change the hood to the 2005 & 2006 models with the scoop. I have checked into one at the dealership and they say is will be a little over $1,000 and that's not painted and installed. Any information you could give me to find one would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I had the RK Sports hood...got tired of the Barbara Streisand looking nose....have the Banshee hood now...fricking awesome fit and look....
Why not look for CF from Australia, look under the Holden Marano...
Save weight and get the good looks to as well...
If you are interested, i can make a few calls and see what type of numbers i pull up...

Aside from the look, it assists in heat extraction in the summer time.

they sell the Banshee hood
two functions - air to filter and heat extraction

Yup it is fully functional.....both nozzles route cold air directly over the CAI intake and also has the heat extractors....and looks really good...

Check out Gravana too. I think they have a good looking Woodard hood, as seen on the orange Woodard Gto, for about 600 in fiberglass or 1000 for carbon fiber. Both are lighter than stock, look good, and have heat extractors and CAI built into the hood. There is also Rys Millen for a wilder look and fenders too, or Dominant Motors for the shaker hood with cut out hood scoop.

You ahould also check out variuous hood scoops around the web....most body shops will cut and paint them in your stock hood fairly cheaply (less than an aftermarket anyway)....lots and lots to choose from...
