Anyone know where a performance tire 255 or 275 (40 to 50 wall) for a 16" or 17" wheel no larger than 25" o.d. can be found? Can find 25.6" or 25.7", but, no 25" or less until down to 245's. Thank-you

The math is the math,
275 40 17 25.66141732
265 40 17 25.34645669
255 40 17 25.03149606
245 40 17 24.71653543
245 50 16 25.64566929
225 50 16 24.85826772
Go to tire rack or discount tire direct to check out some sizes
The 275/40/17 or 245/50/16 are both factory sizes that fit the TA and Camaros 4 gen body.

I used 245/35/16 Pirelli P7000's for almost a year. If I remember, they're the
stock size and tire for Mazda RX-7's.
Got 3 good ones in my garage right now. . .

I had 255/50/16 on my stock rims. They were falken tires, I got them on tires.com. I thought since they were a little wider they'd last longer, but 10.000 miles later I replaced all four of them. I do my fair share of burnouts, but I was hoping for at least 20,000.

just remember how to calculate it.
Let's take the example of 275/40-17
that means the tire is 275mm wide.
40 means the sidewall is 40% of the width... ie, 40% x 275mm = 110mm
so each sidewall is 110mm, but in inches, that's 110mm/25.4 = 4.33" per sidewall.
there are 2 sidewalls... ie 2x 4.33" = 8.66"
The most obvious measurement is the 17, means the diameter of wheel.
overall diameter = diameter of wheel + 2x sidewall.
OD = 17" + 8.66" = 25.66" for a 275/40-17
Have fun playing with different combinations and getting the OD... hope this helps.
