My background info... I need some advice with the correct transmission to put behind my LS1. I have a '99 vet LS1 that is going in a rock crawler. I need a 4x4 tranny of course. I will install an Atlas transfer case behind the tranny. I know I need computer and harness work, but how much, I don't know. Now here is my questions...
1. Is the 4L60e the right choice or should I use a 700r4 with no computer on the tranny?
2. If I chose the 4L60e, will I need a speed sensor in the transfer case?
3. Will the motor computer control the 4L60e?
4. Should I use a lock-up convertor.
As you can tell, I need as much help as possible and as many ideas as I can get.
