Good Day,

I hope everyone reading this is having a great time....I surely am not....

Let me explain...

I use to have a working LS1 throttle body on my stock intake manifold, but then i found a LS2 90mm throttle body from a 2005 GTO and a Fast LSX intake...

Well i got the diagram for the conversion from 8 pin to 6 pin, and nuttin is working...

I got the following codes:
DTC P0120 Throttle Position (TP System Performance
DTC P0220 Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor 2 Circuit
DTC P1516 Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) Module Throttle Actuator Position Performance
DTC P2101 Control Module Throttle Actuator Position Performance
DTC P2135 Throttle Position (TP) Sensor 1-2 Correlation

I have the car in the shop, collecting dust and well my old man is breathing down my neck wavin his big stick stating "i told you not to F$%K with the car".

My fear is the sensor for the TP is reverse compared to the original...

Now i did some diggin and found a LS2 harness for a LS1 PCM from painless. My only concern is i will dump hours in rewiring the system, and i even have to buy other parts.

Some one please help...If you have a fly-by-wire 90mm throttle body that is compadible with LS1 PCM please PM me with your price...I will take it as long as it works...

I forgot to ask

NOw the Painless harness states that i should have the PCM for a 2004 Corvette...with other parts as well...

Is the Corvette's TP signal opposite that of the normal PCMs?

Hmm, i must have posted a tough one...

No bother, Just giving an update to the latest turn out...

I am going to reverse the mod i did to the wiring, i bought an adaptor, which was cheaper then the plug from GM...

I also got a new 90mm throttle-body on the way...I think the one i have isnt compadible with the old OS because of the new upgrade to the two ECUs rather than PCM...

I will let you all know the turnout by Monday...

Happy holidays to all, and look out, i will be on the prowl pretty soon...

First i aint Dude,

Second, i will get past this,

I have the following on my car;

Lingenfelter Air intake
FAST LSX intake manifold
CNC LS6 Heads
Bosch Platinum +4 spark plugs
Morosso wires
MSD Coils
JBA Headers
JBA mid Pipes
Corsa single exit exhaust
Enkie 18"x8 NT03+m
wrapped in Toyo Proxes +4 245/40R18 tires
BMR Strut bar
Tein Springs
Eibach sway bars
Perma Cool oil cooler

I am also lookin to swap out the auto tranny for a Manual...

Just because the 4x4 shop doesnt have parts doesnt mean the guy in Abu Duabi near Al-Jaber does have parts.

Look Beyond Cyclone...:moon:

Tried that option...Allen is as stumped as i am...

I ordered in a LS1 to LS2 adaptor, and a new 90mm throttle body...It is with DHL touring Kuwait...It has been 6 hours and still no parts :dot:

F!@K GM and all their entities...

Seriously, not only am i left with limited vehicle selection, i have to deal with the mayhem of figuring out the right configuration...

I just got all the parts i thought were correct, thank you Jeff...But they are completely different from what i have ever seen...

I am use to seein Throttle-bodies similar to the BBk 1756 found on pre-2006Tahoes...

Did you know that the Tahoe SS, Silverado SS, TrailBlazer SS, Monte Carlo, Avalanche, and others are not sold by the dealer for GM doesnt find it necessary to export outside of the US...

Now that i have vented,

Does any one know of a fly-by wire 90 mm throttle-body that is compadible on a 2003-2006 tahoe...This is the throttle-body setup i need for my situation. Your help is grately appreciated...

I ordered a 2006 Tahoe throttle body from Fred Beans for $250. I don't know if it's the same one you need, but you can get them. As far as shipping, have it shipped to someone else and have them ship it to you.

Ok i know that i am flooding the forum with useless info for the states, but in the middle east i am lurchin in undiscovered lands...

Anyways, i am soooo close to finishing up, i just need to machine the fitment holes 3mm on the two bottom ones and phew i am done...

I realized my error for before i couldnt tell due to the fact that i needed a spacer...I also found out that i could have utilized all the holes insuring proper seal on the intake, but its ok...I am prototypin here...

There are a few others interested in my out come for they are also doomed with the stock 72mm TB...

So lets talk portin...Who here knows a good Porter who can do my throttle body to anything bigger than 75mm?

Good day to all...

I have proud news to report...I got the my setup to work great....I got the fast LSX 90mm intake to work with a BBK throttle Body on a Middle east / Australian setup...

I also Tapered the rear end from a small 75mm to a 85mm, so now it has a 90mm mouth with a 80mm butterfly and 85mm exit hole...And its an 8 pin FLY-By-WIRE too...

I would like to thank everyone in this forum for their help and keen Wisdom in this matter...

Hi
what did you end up doing with the conversion from 8 pin to 6 pin .
i am setting up my escalade 2003 with a L92 set up and tb has 6 pins mine is 8 thanks

Be careful, what type of 6 pin TB are you puttin on?

If it is from a new vehicle, 2005 and newer you will run into codes...The signal for the Throttle plate is reversed compared to ours...

Stick with a BBK 80mm throttle body, go to a machinist with a template of your new Intake, and the BBK throttle body, let him make a 1/2" to 1" spacer adaptor and drill in a couple new holes on the TB...Believe me its much Cheaper and easier this way...If you like taper off the rear end to 85mm but make sure you have the space for it and you will be flying, just make sure you put the plate in the correct way, or you will be gettin one code...P0120, the signal failure...it doesnt zero out...

Let me know if you have any concerns or questions...I went through every possibility, and this was the best...

thanks for getting back to me . i'm going to use the L92/ ls2 90 mm truck body. 6 pin. my truck is the 8 pin 2003 model lq9.i have the service books that show the wiring diagram for 2003. i'm thinking the 6 pin uses only 1 5 volt and 1 neutral instead of 2 on the 2003.

That is exactly correct. I know you wanna go down this road, but think how much it will all cost you in the end...You could get the tb i suggested port it out to 90mm and not mess with the wiring...No foul no harm...
Alterin the wiring will lead to lose of hair, emense stress and no assitance from anyone for you are in two realms rather than one...

In the end its your call, i have copied my the correct wiring diagram (you were warned, it will fail you)...Have fun, enjoy the tourment...

thanks i figured that might work. i fix mori seiki cnc machines and have worked on many vehicles over the years.i have not taken apart my engine as of yet,but i like to have all my parts ready.i am going to build the engine with L92 heads stroke to 4.0 and use new escalade intake with 90 mm tb .i am big time motor head .thanks again for info. will give that a try when i get into it. merry chritmas and happy new year

FYI in all the new vehicles there are to ECUs...No more PCMs, now you have one for the engine and one for the transmission...Both are serperated...

Merry X-mas and Happy new year...
