I use HP Tuners on my 2000 Camaro SS. My brother has a 2001 Mustang Cobra. He is a bit computer "dumb" so I try to help..:)
I have been looking for "tuning/scanning software" for him to use on his Cobra.
NADA?????Nothing????
All I can find are hand helds like Predator and such. Chips, he has one of them. And some reference to Spark Adjusters? something like a MAFT I guess?? I saw "snipertuning.com" has some in the works, but nothing available that I can see.
Is this possibly true, that no one makes a COMPUTER based tuning and scanning package for the Mustang??
Thanks for any help
Have Fun

try asking this question on a "Mustang Forum"
you will probably get answers right away
and just the first one I found looking on a FORD MUSTANG FORUM
-SCT X Calibrator 2-
probably going to be the easiest solution for your "computer dumb" brother as you say it.

Thanks Guy,
I actually have been searching the Mustang forums for him........
Not much in the way of anything up to par with HP Tuners or LS1 Edit or EFI live. Dont know if its because of Ford hiding their code or what?
Guess I will keep digging.
Tanx again
and have fun

HeHe..............:)
Like I said...........my Brother does not know the difference between a Megacyle and a Motorcycle.........LOL
He does try........gotta give him that. He will find something in windows and want it to work right away. He called me and asked me to help him get Virus protecting working. I said why? He said cause he thinks a virus is slowing down his computer. I said ok possibly...........but your not even on the Internet yet.........:lmao: But You never know, he might have got it from a disk............or CD. So he does try. For a Ford guy.
He hates it when I tell him Ponies are for lil girls..............:)
And he is bigger than me so I gotta run everytime........LOL

SCT (SuperChips) offers programmers, that offer a wide range of tuning for the car..
they also offer a "package" that is MUCH like HPtuners (just for a mustang, obviously lol)...Check on www.modulardepot.com They offer the product, and they also have a forum, incase he needs any help tuning...

I think you should hold tight for SEMA...I found an old thread while looking for something else on the HPTuners site...a thread from Chris...
somebody asking about anything being offered for FORD's....
and he gave a "watch for SEMA" with the little spy secret smilie....
so there might be some ford possibilities in the works...
just do some Ford research for now and keep watching the HPTuners site for some details as SEMA is only here in November!!

teh fact that keith and chris asked us to submit any last minute fixes probably means in the next week or two...but I have not been told any exact times and I am just speculating as they will not disclose any details..... but it will be SOON!!!

He must not be very fun to argue with. Because he should counter with "Only p***y boys wear bowties" or " Hoofbeats are louder than heartbeats anyday".
I'm a Ford guy who owned an F-Body, so I was always arguing both sides depending on who I was around....lol

I run the SCT Pro-Racer Package for my modular rustang along with the Raptor datalogger and soon to have LM-1 wideband onboard. Yes it's sticker shock, however, the features that it has are absolutely unbelieveable!!!!!!!

Just so you know...
SEMA is happening.....
and HPTuners is releasing it stuff for doing pretty much any OBD2 Vehicle
Chevy,Ford,Dodge...and every vehicle....
no more need for that overpriced SCT stuff...they will be showing off the new hardware interface and new software stuff....
and you will be able to tune all these cars in the same software and on the same data cable.
you will be able to tune your LS1 and then go tune your buddies 2005 mustang...and you will be using an absloutely incredible beautiful easy to use scanner for all of it...
no more multiple programs...no more trying to remember 6 different kinds of software...
all in 1 Program :)
