I noticed when changing the oil that my ac belt looks terrible and needs to be replaced. I've never replaced any belt on anything...so forgive the amateur question--could someone give me a quick step by step on this??? Looks straight forward enough...push tensioner over on both belts and pull them off. How hard is it to move the tensioner??? (don't have a breaker bar...just wrenches...) How much $ will the ac belt run me??? Thanks ya'll!

The tensioner isnt that hard to move, you should be able to handle it just fine. A socket wrench alone will do it. As far as money, it has been a little while since I looked up prices, but I believe both of them were like 10-20 bucks each, the smaller one a little cheaper obviously. It may be a little more if you go to a dealer for it. Just pay attention to that neat little diagram in the engine bay, and you will do just fine.

I actually know a LOT about that. lol Not much else about the rest of the car tho. My belt seems to be outa line or somethin, because it gets worn out after about a month. I havent got around to getting everything re aligned yet, so I just replace it. If you gotta 8 inch long wrench you'll be fine. Just remember. smooth goes on smooth and grooved goes on grooved. :)

No doubt, I hate working on the car in cold weather.

Ok--got it done today! You were right-no big deal. Took like 20 mins with jacking the car and all. Thanks for the input-always feels good to do something myself rather than trust (and pay) someone else to do it; no matter how small :)
