Ive heard from a lot of people that Mobil 1 Is one of the best, but it is also one of the more expensive filters. Ive also heard that STP is another good fliter and it is a lot less expensive. I am still experimenting with filters myself but I found a site that you can read where someone else has cut open a bunch of filters and compaired them. If you scroll to the bottom and click on "Oil Filters Overview" it will take you to his conclusion protion of his site. He doesnt seem to be bias either. He also doesnt say which is better but he has a lot of good info including recommended filters and filters to avoid.

I use the Delco filter for my car.

Of course....it helps that the girl gets them at cost. :yup:

pf 44 is the small ac delco filter, and pf 61 is the big filter(ive only tried the 44) ive had good luck with the stocker filters, but im gonna try the k+n filters next summer when she comes out of storage. Ive heard NOTHING negative about the Delco filter tho.....

KN/Mobil1/Amsoil/WIX/Baldwin/NAPA GOLD/AC Delco/Purolator all very good filters with excellent filtration and flow characteristics.
SuperTech is a good little filter also.....lower end but good.
Fram sucks major ass and is made by ass monkeys.
I really like the Perma Cool oil relocation rig....cheap and easy and allows you to run a large filter for more filtration media and greater sump volume....and yes it has a cooling effect which doesn't hurt anything at all.....

yeah its wierd, used to have a 89 cutlass ciera w/ 3.3L V6, ran very well on quaker state 10W30 and Fram filters.....445,000kms good! but I guess that isnt the case anymore.....quaker state isnt half as good as before and the fram filter became really bad especially after allied signal started making them
