Just wanted to share some pictures of my hard work. I had been wanting to do this painting project for over a year but was afraid to do it. Well I finally did it. Very frustrating work, but worth it in the end. All painting done with Duplicolor 1200* Ceramic paint. Valve Covers were cake.. manifold.. not so much. And a warning for those who wish to do the same thing.. you probably WILL break your oil pressure sending unit on the back of the block. I was careful not to, and still managed to snap that sucker off.

Heres the good stuff. Please excuse the dirty car.. it sat for a few days while I pained it:

TB and MAF were done in the same manner. Just take them off, degrease them, slighty sand them, tape them off and then hit it with ceramic paint and then clearcoat.

Im scared to do the FRC's. Mostly because it rubs a bit on my STB and where the ASR/Throttle cable runs over the covers. If I painted them, it would scratch it all up.

Scott Settlemier aka FbodFather. If you look closely.. the date was valentines day.
I put a personal touch on the car myself and signed the back of the intake (Under the vaccume lines) with a black sharpie. Might seem dumb at first, but if she ever gets sold.. I'll have left my mark ;)

I used the 97 LS1 covers so I did not have to cut the drivers side at all. It already comes with the 2 fuel lines cut. I did have to notch the pass side cover to clear the throttle cable bracket that attaches to the front of the intake. Also drilled a hole for the dipstick tube.
