I just purchased a new hood/front bumber for my 99' Z28 and I'm thinking of having them painted & then installing the parts myself. I've never done this and was curious if it is difficult for a beginner and what to keep an eye out for.....it saves me about $800 labor! Thanks...

Get someone to help, you will need an extra pair of hands. Put the bolts and stuff on loosely and mark a reference point on the the hinge flange and slowly lower the hood but don't close fully. Look at you fit and trim by each fender and at the front. Adjust accordingly. Real simple dude.

yeah, i've got a friend to help me, but i noticed that it looks like quite a few plastic-type bolts or fasteners or something on the underside of the front bumper....wasn't sure if i had to break and replace these or not....thanks

Sorry, I misread your first message. With the front bumper it is best to just go ahead and lay down the bucks to get a good body shop to swap out the front bumper.
