Fuel Pump Gone!!! :(

Hey, My fuel pump is broken down i dont want to put the stock furl pump again my friend suggest me to put walbro 255. Is it good or any one can tell me the better performance fuel pump with higher PSI?? .... any suggestion will be seriously appriciated ..

The Walbro or the Racetronix kit is a nice one.

Racetronix is the way to go and I also highly recommend Harris Speed Works. I was very happy with those guys when I bought mine.

I replaced mine myself. I have a 98 so mine was a little different than your 99+. The 98's have metal gas tanks with baffles and the 99+ use a plastic tank and have a bucket on the pump. That's where the racetronic kit comes in handy. It maintains the stock venturi setup for the stock bucket so you don't have to hack up your bucket. Labor intensive job but not impossible to do with just jack stands and hand tools. A helper will pay big dividends. :D

So, I assume you removed the tank from the bottom of the car and then replaced the fuel pump. I heard of others that did it by cutting through the deck above the tank and replacing the fuel pump while the tank is still mounted in the car.

I've had Great luck with Walbro's 255:yup: pump. It has been enough to support the motor and a wet 200hp shot.

Yeah, the access panel is a preferred method but I just like doing stuff the right way and wasn't real keen to cutting on the car. Either way works and the access panel is the easiest but I just prefer not to cut on the car.

certainly cutting a hole properly won't damage anything and save you alot of extra work.Many other cars have a access hole for the fuel pump from the factory.
