It cranked right over at first, but shut it off to mess with the cable linkage on my tranny. After that, it wouldn't start unless I gave it gas and held the rpms up a little to keep it from dying. In addition to that, I have an oil leak that's dripping in the front of the tranny, but around the oil pan and filter is bone dry. I don't have any idea where it's coming from. This was a simliar problem I had with my old engine, but seals, gaskets, etc are all new in this one and the rear oil galley is plugged also. Any help is appreciated. :brick:

check your crank positioning sensor and make sure either the sensor is plugged in or in good shape. Possible you did not connect it thinking it was for an O2 sensor

We got the car running by messing with the throttle body screw, but still have this oil leak problem. Looks like the tranny will have to come back down again. :brick:

Well, I just just fix my oil leak and pressure problem with a part I should've replaced in the first place: You guessed it, the oil sending unit. I reached back behind the intake, removed it and it practically fell apart in my hand. This $40 part was the same problem I had on my last motor. With the new part installed, my oil pressure went up around 60psi on a cold start and 35-40hot.
