flickering lights and airbag idiot light... head unit also affected

So im in the LT1 last night on my way home from christmas shopping with my g/f and all of a sudden my headlights and gauge cluster start flickering and it kills power on my head unit..... so for a second i think...SHIT alternators gone... but i look and it still says its charging at 14 volts...ok gettin wierder... so i kill the head unit and continue home hoping the bitch dosent die on me... and then my airbag light starts blinking whenever the lights flicker... im at a complete and total loss and i dont know what to look for...anyone wanna give me a hand here?

maybe check battery terminals for corrosion??? Have read many times here of that causing weird problems; and easy to check.

:yup: also i had simular problems when the alternater took a dive and shit the battery too! check the engine ground cables also check the fuse box for rats chewing on shit
