I'm looking for a fun, fast car for a weekend driver and drag strip play car. I'm new to Camaros, but I know I want a 98+ LS1, six speed for sure. Anything else I need to know? Differences between years or common probs to look out for? Also, seems like all I see are T-tops, why?
Thanks for the help.

t-tops are rad, that's why!
you'll want an 01 or above if you're looking for a manual. They come with the better intake manifold and brass synchronizers.

skip shifts can be bypassed with a 15-30$ part from slp or jegs or summitt, prior to bypass when the rpms are about 1500 it will skip from 1st to 4th. i guess it was a feeble attempt to save gas.
