i dynod the car on a dynojet last week, mods are in my sig, do you think they sound about right or too much? did about 5 runs 2 with stock MAF and 3 with the slp, with the MAF they were all around 347hp 356tq with stock maf 339hp and 352tq.
i got the slp maf for free, should i run it on the car or keep my stock one?

Stock one.
Do you have the A/F ratios for each pull??
I bet the ones with the SLP MAF are leaner than the stock MAF pulls.

Keep the stocker and trade the SLP for other parts.

Lean makes power.
Too lean pops motors.
That is how the MAF makes power...leans you out. Can cause more trouble than it is worth.

Not sure.
I would still like to see the A/F of those pulls if possible. :yup:

u are correct, gratenelli MAF will lean the heck out of your car.. I did a bunch of mods, next week the Fast LSx intake, gears 3.73 and a LS1Edit tune at
LG Motorsports in Wylie TX. those guys are gooooood at what they do.,
I'll pour another 1.5k in all those.. :flex:

Your dyno #'s sound about right. Without the LS6 intake, you should be in the 330 range.

I have my stock MAF but i took out that screen inside of it, do i have to worry about running too lean? Also does anybody know of any dyno shops near Fresno California. Thanks

Many descreen the MAF. :yup:
It is debated on if that is or isn't a good idea.
Many say the airflow meters were designed to read airflow with the screen in. I haven't seen proof of this...but I haven't looked for it.
Maybe someday I will get a test of this. :yup:
I run an SLP 85mm MAF. It was originally a 'rookie modder' mistake. Now, I am tuned for it and would be over the limits of the stock piece anyways.
Stock MAF is good for about 500 RWHP. Until you get bigger than that...stick with the stocker. :yup:
