i have a 10inch sub in the rear of my car with a custom box. recently the screws ripped the box appart. is there any way in which to fix the box or will i have to get a new box? if i need a new box where is a good place to get it. 10' eclipse with a 1000 watt amp rockfosgate, capasitor for all speakers also all hidden.

Turn the speaker in the box and drill new holes.

Do what 9t8z28 said.
Then tighten the screws by hand this time, don't use the drill. :yup:

sounds like the box walls a too thin and the speaker is too heavy double up on the mount plate screw another piece of wood onto the front of the box recover the face and now it will be more durable.

Is the box mdf........ And 3/4" thick...? If so put the face back on the box with liquid nails and stager new 1 1/2" course wood screws NOT drywall screws!!!! And it will last for a while.:yup:
