whats a 64 vette rated at

not sure but i know some vette's in the mid late 60's like the l88 came with 427's in them...that were round 550hp...and put those cars in mid 12's...but they are very rare and very expensive....almost same engines that were in the zl1's

You should easily take him. Remember, that is 365 GROSS HP. It is like 290 in today's power numbers. If that Vette is near stock, it is somewhere like 250 at the wheels.

64 with stock tires will do nothing
while a 327/365 is pretty stout even by todays standards it didnt have the rubber to put the power down.
It will wind to 6500 with no problem tho so look out for him on the big end.

I raced one at the track a month ago and he got smoked, I ran a 12.9 and if I remember correctly he was like 14.2 to 14.5, my friend also has a 64 vert that I have driven,I was not that impressed. I also have driven his 89 L98 vert, I think that would beat it as well. I just told my wife about this thread and even she said that the Camaro would win (she was at the track when I raced the 64) go get him and let us know by how many car lenghts you take him:kick:
