ok im going to try and be as descriptive as possible. I fixed my car after a nitrous backfire on friday night blew out my intake and that is believed to be from over revving. I believe the over rev was caused because the car doesnt want to shift from first to second under WOT anymore. If i let up off the gas then it still shift nice and firm. Also just driving normally it was wanting to go all the way up to 3500- 4000 rpms before shifting from 1st to 2nd. All other gear appear to shift normal. Now I have adjust my shift points and transmission firmness using a hypertech and the car is shifting better and will shift under WOT however it still wants to wind out to 3000 rpms before shifting when driving normally. I have not had it scanned for tranny codes as of yet. I want to flush the tranny and put new fluid in. It was rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago with kevlar clutch packings a shift kit and has a 3200 stall. Anyone have any ideas?

My friend and I took the intake apart and it was just crazy looking man. There were pieces of MAF screen stuck in my airbox and the little spring looking sensors were all melted and broken apart. When i get back from the field and go to clean everything up im gunna take pics of the aftermath. Anyways any ideas about the tranny.

so, i take it you replaced the MAF sensor then?
next thought would be filter clogging.
how does it do going from 3rd to 4th?

may have a PWM issue. or force motor.

3rd to 4th seems normal when driving normally however i have not tried WOT in every gear. I have replaced the MAF sensor and the intake tube and have a brand new air filter. What filter are you referring to be clogged? Do you think the melted TPS senser casing or the other sensor on the throttle body could be causing a problem?

and do you think a tranny flush could do any good?

what about the 1-2 accumulator spring? I know that can cause a problem for the late shift between just those gears but what about not shifting at WOT?
