That is almost exactly the same set up my son and I put into our Camaro, except we used an iron 408 block and Eagle crank, 11.25:1. Same cam, same mainfiolds in and out, and 50# injectors.

It made 522 with open cutouts and 480 with cats and mufflers.

I would really like to hit 500 RWHP.

Sounds like I still have a couple decisions to make regarding exhaust and torque arm though.
I don't want the tranny mount torque arm, but I want duals. I guess the best way is a relocation kit. But that is an extra $120 or so. And after all I have spent....I am ready for a break.

And Rhino, how did this cam sound/lope???

IAnd Rhino, how did this cam sound/lope???

It idles better than I expected, hunts around and is never really stable of happy but it stays around 1100. Sounds very modifed, obviously. What I really like is the way the headers ound with such an aggressive cam: you get a lot of that "exhaust wave ticking" or crackle through the header walls like you got from over-carberated, over-cammed big block street machines of the 70s, -- you don't hear that with a lot of headers on near-stock engines.

Hey Rhino, you don't by chance have a sound clip??

No sorry, and I'm not sure it would convey the whole thing. We drove around in it last night: the carpeting and insulation are out of it while we adjust/weld the rollcage, and it was really, really loud.

An incredibly anti-social car. I love it.
