Shift kit and Trans Pak for K2500

Ive got a 1999 Chevy K2500 A4 and its got 77000 miles on it.

its been driven some what hard.... weve done quite a bit of towing with it and some illegal hauling (over weight)

and i was wondering if i could get a shift kit and trans pak for it to help improve the tranny performance? ive heard that if you wait too long it will do more damage to the tranny. any advice would be great!

yup, if your towing more then the GVW of the truck I would highly suggest that you invest in some heavyduty clutches and bands when you decide to rebuild because hauling overweight really puts a lot of strees on the transmission and will destroy it because you keep putting more and more torque on the trans.

also a trans cooler would be ideal also for what your doing with it

well we dont do too much towing anymore so i wont have to worry too much about that.

so just getting the trans pak and shift kit wouldnt be good?
