i tried to quote the video and the "bone stock" comment, but alas, not enough posts to post a URL, so i'm referring to the video up a few posts and the bone stock comment below it.

I'm no expert on the power-to-weight thing, but i HIGHLY doubt that 469 hp and 516 tq is going to make a 4000lb sled run an 11.3. stock they're supposed to be good for mid 12s and that i'd believe, but that kind of power will put your f-body at mid-high 11's, but we tip the scales at about 500-600 lbs less. i just think that video, while extremely impressive, is a farce. no freakin way that thing is bone stock on street tires. i don't know your mods, but i'd say if he's stock, and you can put down a solid mid 12 pass, you'll be ok. just my .02

The Cobra is said to have a 2.93 pulley? If so he's using the stock cover and no idler pulley so belt slip would be god awful. I think it's a stock pulley cobra in which case explain why he got handed. Taking nothing away from the impressive E55 which cost 3 times as much.

That track does look like it is going downhill, but it is prolly an optical illusion. The other end is going uphill, which is a good idea b/c it takes less brake force to slow godawful fast cars.

AsI have posted several times, Mercedes has the worlds best traction control system.

And for the record, I have raced an E55 at the strip that was on 20" Antera wheels and it still turned a 12.60 and that was at a moderate 2000ft. You guys can deny reality all you want but the fact of the matter is that this car turns 12's from the showroom.

I raced one from a light and those things grab the ground like velcro. I sh8t you not. They pull off the line like a sling shot. There is no way a f body can stick with one. I don't know the traction control they use but its alien technology compared to what GM has. We went out on the highway and from 60 ish rolls he had me 3 outta 4 times by a car or so the other was a tie.

Those e55's are no joke! Several years ago when I was h/c (only 366rwhp), I raced one on the highway and a stop. He killed me both times. From a roll, their automatics are almost as good as a 6sp. When he floored it, he immediately took off (they have a sport mode), and by the time my car downshifted and started moving out, he was at least 1 full car ahead and pulling hard (past 120). Then when we got to a stoplight, I figured with my soft hitting vertor and his heavy blown car, there would be no way he could get traction from a stop. Well, the first second or so, I hooked better than him, and then floored it. I thought for sure I was set, but then he came flyin by me like I was standing still !! I seriously doubt a bolt on ls1 could take one.

However, I think a bolt on and cammed 6spd can take a stock one fairly easily.
