I am going to replace my clutch later this month and had a few questions. I have approximately 400 RWHP on a 2001 Pontiac Formula. From what I have read on LS1.com, it sounds the the LS7 clutch kit from Fred Beans would be a fair replacement after you factor in cost and quality. I have someone that is going to assist me with the install since I lack the experience. At this point, I intend to order the "ls7clutchkit".

What else MUST be replaced? (part numbers would be great since I am slow)

What else SHOULD I replace?

Fred Beans seems like a good place to order from. Are there any parts that I should order from somewhere else?

P.S. I have already read some posts where people favor one clutch over another. The purpose of this post is I am inexperienced and I am asking for help to prepare me for the replacement. I am not asking which clutch is better since this can be debated for ever and ever.

Thanks in advance for any help I may receive!!!!!!!!

I ordered my parts from Jeremy at Fred Beans. The pilot bearing, slave, and ls7 clutch kit came out to $571.61 shipped. Below is a link that is on their website that gives some info about the kit. (add www in the front since I couldn't post the link)

Thanks for the help.
