I recently sent e-mails to a bunch of companies that make gears asking if they were planning to make 3.90's or 3.91's for a 7.5". The first to get back to me was Motive gear and they said they would be coming out with them in March of 2006. Seems like a while, but it will probably be worth the wait.

E-mail I sent:

I was just wondering if there was a reason why neither you guys or anybody else makes a 3.90 gear for a GM 7.5" 10-Bolt rear end. A lot of people would be very interested as they are looking for something more aggressive than 3.73's but 4.10's are too much. Is there anybody that makes a 3.90 or 3.91 for a GM 7.5" 10-Bolt?

Thanks,
Jim

Response:

Jim, it's on the radar screen, We should have these available by March of 06......

Thanks, Bob

thanks great, but quite frankly why would you spend the money for them plus install when it's almost half the cost of a better 12 bolt? Just my opinion I guess, but I hate doing things twice. It would suck to spend the time and money for 3:90's only to explode the carrier, or twist an axel on the first burnout.
