Location of Fuel Filter On An 04 GMC Sierra. It is a RCSB W/ 5.3L?

If it the same as 02 Tahoe Z71 and i think it is.
It should be under the driver seat on the inside of the frame. :seesaw:

I found were the pick-up line and the return-line go into a black housing, I think the fuel filter is in the housing. Am I correct?

I don't know about that, maybe.
On a Tahoe it's the same size and style as a camaro filter and you can see it.
It's out in the open.
No black housing here.... :dunno:

I think on 04 and newer trucks with V8's the filter is inside the gas tank.

Correct, they are in the tank. I have an 04 2500HD Silverado, and there isn't any fuel filter externally.

i have the 03 sierra denali with the 6.0 and mine is right under the driver's side third door and it isn't covered at all it right on the inside of the frame rail.

04 they are in the tank, only the Duramax has an external filter.

:yup: in '04 GM went to fuel on demand system and all '04 v8 trucks have the filter in the gas tank(non serviceable). '04 suv's that have the ''z'' engine have an external inline filter.
