HELP!!! anyone ever heard of the planatery CRACKING!!!

so i found my trans problem today, my 5 pinion planatery was cracked completly two cracks on each side, i dont have that much TQ my mods are in my sig. anyone ever seen this??

what brand of 5 pinion planetary did you go with, the aftermarket ones are actually weaker than the factory 4 pinion, the only way to go is the factory gm 5 pinion sets

I have to agree with jay here. The only time I've seen a new gm 5 pinion planet break was when the output shaft broke as well. Did you break the rear planet?

it was the 5 from GM and the whole housing cracked on me and the teeth are fine and shaft is fine:brick:

the carrier was cracked or the pinions themself? what does the ring gear look like? and what does the sun gear look like?
