Took the TA to the track for the first time. I was nervous as hell in the staging lane. Forgot to turn off the traction control off. Killed it trying to clean off the tires. Now I realy feel dumb! First run, 2.3 60ft, missed third,15.254 @ 92.56. Embarrasing:cuss: I went back last night. I did a little better. Best run was 2.046 60ft, 13.700 @ 103.87. Is that about average for a MN6? I have a lid and MAF.

About average for a first timer. It will get better for sure though. It is always fun to.

i went 12.9 my first time at the track. but i drive like a maniac all the time so i guess i had some more practice :) With your trap speed I would think you should be able to pull some 13.3-4's though.

I'm gonna have to wait til next spring to find out. Hopefully I'll have a few mods done over the winter. Then 13's will be a thing of the past!:yup:

MAN YOU THINK THATS BAD! I had people laughing at me. Pulled upto the lane car sounds fantastic! I launch and bog the launch, goto shift into second were it so happened my phone landed and had to move it to hit second after bouncing the shifter of it and then missed third. Still managed a 16.4 but alot of laughers. I bought the car on Tuesday and was there Friday nite. I have driven the car a total of 60 miles.

1997 TA M6, lt4 hot cam, lloyd elliot heads, intake, tb, ported and descreened maf, hooker long tubes, custom ypipe, hooker catback, no cats, subframe connectors, b&m ripper, k&n cai, udp, fresh tr55 gpower, no tune, temp gauge wasn't working, enkie 3piece chrome rims with aveo ? tires, ta girdle, stock gears.

Anyway best run of the nite was a 14.5 101 mph with a 2.4 60ft. Bogged the launch pretty bad but my buddy said I starting closing the huge gap between me and the guy i ran which ran a 12.3 after I got going. I was told the car ran 7.8's in the 8th consistently.

You still had a good time though. Right? I figured I can only improve after my first nightmare of a try. Currently working on the wife for mods over the winter. I'll be shooting for 12's next spring!!!

YES ALWAYS HAVE A GOOD TIME! It's been almost 2 years since I have driven a stick. Also every fast car i have ever owned were auto's. So going fast and having to shift is a new thing for me. I really wanted an A4 but i couldn't pass on the deal i got. 2nd owner car with 97k miles and already runs 12's for $7k. Now i just have to learn how to drive it.
