My 94 Z-28 has been running good then it started missing and feeling like it has about half the normal power. It only runs half-ass decent at 3grand down the highway and don't wanna wrap on up past 4grand WOT unless i burp the throddel. It has fresh plugs and wires. I was told it just had the whole ignition replace. Any1 else had this problem?????

How many miles on it?
If you just got new plugs and wires, it could be the opti going out.

it is posible that you have an FI problem whe the service engine soon light comes on and the car runs better its probably because the computer swithed or open/closed loop to limp home mode. normaly though you will have a fault code in on any part of the FI thats not working corectly but that system dosn't always work

sure?

why odnt u do a test on the ICM and what not and make sure it isnt a spark prob. also you can check your Fuel pressure on the back of the manifold you will find on the fuel rail there vavle to check FPresure.
heres your ignition test that runs through the ICM coil and opti to let ya know your prob... http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#opti_test

I had a sticky injector and the engine would misfire. Not backfire, but misfire. (engine lope) Next time it happens, you can check the injectors by listening to them. Get a stethescope and put it on each injector and listen for an irregular ticking sound or possibly no ticking. It ticks when the injector opens or closes. If its not ticking, its not working.
