Actually I found the answer to my own question recently-the 01 +02 cars do not have a restriction.The reason I asked was I remembered back to test driving my 2002 before I bought it and the salesman thought I was trying to lay rubber.I had a 98 that I bought in late 97 and had driven for 4 years and I jumped in the 02 and the clutch feel was so much lighter that I looked like an idiot trying to drive it.My left foot kept acting like it's the same car even though my brain knew it wasn't.I have read that they changed something in the clutch hydraulics-not sure if that is all they changed-anyway there is a big difference in clutch feel between the 98 and the 02.:usa:

i had a soft pedal at high rpms the drill mod cured it.now i can get 3rd without a congressional hearing.i had to wait till it fell to 4000 rpm to shift into 3rd now it falls in at 6500.

Hey A-Bomb - are those things real? Anywhoo-I never had that prob with my 02-I'm thinkin they didn't put in the restriction -and now I'm seeing info that my car has the Z-06 clutch set-up from the factory.Anybody got any info on that?
