Spark knock normal?

My WS6 has what sounds like a very light spark knock off the line at light throttle, but it's fine when I get into it. It isn't always there, but seems like mostly when going uphill slowly either at low cruise speeds or taking off uphill at light throttle. There is no power loss, and the car just hit 17k miles. Is this normal for a LS1?

What octane gas are you running??
Is this a new problem?
Have you checked plugs/wires?

Just noticed it, only had the car a month. Wires look new, never pulled the plugs. No visual problems, and the knock isn't always there. I run 87 octane.

Run premium and it will go away.
Only really an extra $1.00-1.50 a tank, and VERY much so worth it.
