When I was driving home from work tonight I had a newer A4 riding my ass. It was snowing pretty good and there was about a 1/4 inch of slush patches and the roads were wet. I stopped at the red light and the guy pulls up along side of me with the it's on I can kill a T/A finally look. The light goes green and I ease out the clutch slow at low rpm to not break traction and he's on it hard and gets a good jump on me. I get about 1/4 throttle about 2000rpm and break loose, slam 2nd fast and ease the clutch out slow for I don't break loose again I start pulling him and get my front bumper about to his mirror and break loose again about 3000rpms and go for 3rd. I get on it good this time and start pulling him fast, my side mirror was about at his front bumper and then he suddenly lets out of it when I hit about 45. I need to get my cold weather tires on for I can kick some ass again. The GS-D3's are failing me in this cold crap. I thought it was a good kill for the bad conditions and seeing he is AWD. :dunno:

Nice kill! I think you are a little nuts to race in the rain though.

Great kill I think... In the rain and slush all he had to do was pin it. You won that race with driver skill alone. Few people will race me, and here I thought the ws6 was a sleeper.

Sorry, but I find this a little too hard to believe. If he was truly racing, I don't think you would have caught him by 45 mph. The A4 with AWD could be a block away before you'd ever find traction in the rain, snow or slush.
Nice story though.

yea dude, deff kice kill, but not worth it
i had similar experience Non Racing tho where i lost traction in 4th gear and that resulted in me sliding down a curb and sidewalk. There are no tires in the world that will give you traction in the rain or especially snow.

I had to give it a try. I knew I'd didn't have a great chance of winning, but theese tires are so great in the rain during the summer I wasn't sure how they would do in the cold wet slush. It was about 31 degrees out. I started getting some traction so I'm like I'll see if I can atleast hold him or get a bit ahead. I wouldn't go to fast just to pull on him a bit. I forsure wouldn't go for fourth gear in theese kind of conditions if I was to spin 3rd I would have givin up. He had a great jump, but I got that back really fast. I was surprised my self and the look on his face was priceless.
