i was just minding my own business when i was drivin normal as i see in my rearview mirror bmw headlights up my ass im like ok guy. so i get over and let him get next to me we were doin 50 and im an auto so i was in second and i was pulsing the petal and he jumped on it so i did to and i was like holy shit i was creaping on him but slowly i pulled next to him and was like yo from a 20 roll so i put it in 1st and on 3 we went i hit it went sideways a lil got off jumped back on it hit second was about dead even went all the way through second and hit third and i was probally almost a car ahead but i was very suprised i was like yo whats in that hes goes 396 stock i was like holy shit he was a stick to i didint know what kinda bmw it was it wasnet the new one so idk what it was but it deff suprised me btw i have a 2000 trans am with 350 rwhp

The only car that BMW would have that is 396hp is an older M5 and yes they come 6spd.

I wonder if anyone has raced the new M5 500hp V10 7spd?

no the race from 50 i started in second and the race from 20 i had it in 1

You just better not be anywhere near stock or you are going to get killed. Those cars are trapping 120 mph on accident.

At a 50 roll the tranny will drop to second on it's own...if you keep manually shifting your auto at those speeds it's gonna take a shit on you.

A stock M5 is sooooooo much better engineered than we are. I mean, I love my car, but it's cheap GM muscle....those M5s are built for an autobahn.....155mph all day every day. It will KILL you most days unless you are quite modified.

on A4, nothing wrong with droping into 3rd when you roll 60 let's say...
the car's manual says you get more power in 3rd while it consumes more gas.
what I usually do when I feel like somebody wants to race (2-3 times a week)
I drop it in 3rd rolling 60-65 and then floor it until the RPM goes 5K, then
I shift to D.. The launches from 60 roll are much more aggresive in 3rd, since
when you drive in D and floor it, the computer will take about half a sec or so to auto downshift for you and then it accelerates.. just don't manually shift all the times, the tranny may mess up over time. I do that a few times a week.
be careful out there! a guy wraped around a pole last week in Plano TX.
