i finally got all the screws loose and i have jacked the motor up but still cant get the pan off. i have also removed the lower section of the housing around my clutch. im trying to get the number 7 piston out through the top to replace it. i have a couple of more options in mind but neither are something i want to do. any help will be appreciated. thanks bubba

You are going to need to drop down the cross menber to be able to get it off. Just support the motor under the crank pullet with a jackstand and under ther torque tube You need to dop it all hte way down becauae you won't be able to get it back in if you don't. You will need to disconect the stearing arm and unbolt the upper control arm bolts. Then disconect the powere stearing lines form the steering rack. Then unclip and take out the abs harnees from the crossmember. Also unbolt the sway bar. This should alow you to drop it out. I work on corvettes for a living so if you ahve any more questions pm me and i will be glad to help you out. Not much i havent done on one of these babies. Good luck.
