What pistons are the stock pistons? flat top/dish/flat top with valve relief? what type shoul di get if i were to replace the pistons? also what type should i get to get rid of piston slap should i replace them? I know that i have to get the type pof pistons with the floating wrist pins verse the presses in one....is that correct?

If you replace them, go forged

stock pistons are completely flat. no dish, no valve reliefs. federal-mogul makes a piston for stock and .010 overbore that have a coating on the side skirts to reduce the piston slap noise. and yes, if you can get floating wrist pins, the better to reduce noise.

I assume that i can re-use the connecting rods if i get new pistons and wrist pins but will have to get new rings. Also if i should replace the pistons...should i bore out the cylinder bigger or just hone it and get bigger rings?

yes, you can reuse the connecting rods. yes, you will need to get new rings.

if it were me, bore the motor the .010".

FYI you cannot just get larger rings and use on stock piston diameter. they go together.

???? so i have to get larger pistons if i bore it out .010" along with the rings to go with it?

So if i stay with stock size pistons and the rings that go with them(assuming stock size replacement) will i have issues if i hone the cylinder walls? or will the rings expand far enough to cover that issue?
