I was wondering if I put SLP's 1.8 ratio rockers on my 98 Z28, with a proper tune, would I have any problem passing PA emissions tests?

I dont beleive so. But why put them on at all? Put your money into something else IMO.

stock rockers are fine and for the price, invest in something else

As the others have said, stick with the stock rockers. I had gotten the 1.8 Crane roller rockers but then if you go to a more aggressive cam you have to start worrying about clearnance issues both with valve / pistons and valve covers. I went back to 1.7 and don't think 1.8's are worth it IMO.

no tune is needed if you go larger ratio rockers. while it can be a high doller per hp gain, for those that want more without changing a cam, it's a good direction to go.

as far as cam selection goes, so long as your springs can handle it and you have proper piston to valve clearances, there won't be a problem.

i had the slp 1.85s and sold them.
save the money for a cam kit or headers.

If you can pass the emissions test now, you'll still pass it with the new rockers.

Larger ratio rockers will increase the overlap triangle, is it a sniff test?
