My UNGO MS2007 stopped working or at least the remote did. I cannot disarm the alarm through the remote yet the remote can receive a single from the alarm. I put the alarm in manual mode to disarm it and basically now serves as an automatic door locker. Looking to spend no more then $350 (absolute max). I would list the features I want but their all pretty standard in this price range.

I'm lookin into a Viper system that also includes the "Remote Start" feature. They're going on eBay for pretty reasonable prices.

How hard is an alarm system to install on your own? I know a decent amount about electronics and have wondered if it would be much trouble.
