Ram air question

I have a 96 that wasnt a ram air model, but I ended up going with the US Exotics Warbird 2 ram air hood for looks... he said originalyl that it works fine with the stock ram air system if i had it, but i dont.

now i'm looking to upgrade to ram air, but i cant find the kit for sale ANYWHERE. the only one i can find is the RKSport box, but it says it works with the RKSport hood... is this true? whats so different about it that it wont fit factory?

is there anyplace that i can get a factory replacement ram air intake, or does anyone make an aftermarket one that works with a factory ram air hood? i cant find the part numbers for them, figure i could just get them from gm direct

the whole box kit or just the filter are both there

Year one has them, but a little pricey.
