Car Cover

Okay guys.. Need some help here. I have no experience with car covers what so ever but I need to get one. Long story short, I just got a promotion at work and I now have a company car and free gas wOOt.
The Z will be sitting in the driveway and not used.. except for the weekend. I'd put it in the garage, but the Vette is already in there so I'm in need of a good OUTSIDE car cover that can stand up to Florida's extremes. What are your experiences with car covers and what's a good brand that wont mildew and wont scratch?? TIA!!

what extremes? it rains or it shines...it's not like your in a variable climate with snow, cold, and falling leaves

Its snowed here before and below freezing weather is quite common in the winter here.

California Car Cover. I got the weathercraft (or something like that) and absolutely love it. It's a bit expensive honestly, but the custom make it for your car so it's a tight fit. Stands up to rain, wind, sleet. just about anything you can throw at it.

Everyone seems to forget that North Florida does get freezing at times and occasional snow(rare, but it happens). With that being said I would get the Covercraft All-Weatherguard, I found one at Pep Boys on sale for $99. It's the universal fit that goes by size(lenght) but it works like a charm against the wheather here in NJ which is much worse then Florida.:yup:

A good form fitting cover is a must if its sitting out side /in the wind.....
I've seen loose fittng "Weather proof" covers used a few months absolutely ruin a paint job.....

Mine had a steel cable that ran under the car and locked. You coudn't get the cover off the car without unlocking the cable. It also had pockets so it didn't beat against your paint. It even kept the cover connected to car when it was caught by high winds.

i could get your cover off with out a key....just a pair of bolt cutters...which someone used on mine when i went away for the weekend:cuss:

Check both those links out. The first one is an excellent car cover that runs around $100. The second is more expensive and weather specific covers if you don't like the first option. :)
