last night at the drags my clutch pedal wouldnt return up, i had to pick it up with my foot to get the play back in it. of course this was after my run. this is the first time its happened? put some new bolt ons since but never had a problem like this on the street. yes my m6 is all stock is it time for a better clutch? :fire:

you can do the drill mod too. It upgrades your master cylendar, and makes it adjustable, that way you wont have to buy a new clutch. Thats most likely what it is. If your clutch is not slipping then theres your problem.

What do you guys think? Iwant to install a return spring on the upper arm of the clutch peddle with just enough tension to return.the clutch.I know as well as you it dos'nt take much pressure to return it. What do you think of this idea,or will it get so bad that it will fail completely.

I know of some people who have had good luck with that fix.......But if there is a problem causing it to stick you are NOT solving your problem.......Have you bleed you slave cyl. at all?

I have never bled the slave. How could it be possible for air to enter the slave? It's never lost any fluid and there were never any leaks.

Think of how many of thousands of times that slave has traveled back and forth......It's like any other hyd. system.....It can suck air past a seal when it got hot at one time. It would be something I would check out before trying to rig up the spring deal!!

Good idea .i'll blead the system .if that dos'nt fix it i'perform the spring job. does anyone know what spring weight or tension to use?

I would say that is going to be more trial and error.......on your part...Seeing that your pressure plate is not going to be the exact same as anyone eleses..
I would start myself with something stiffer...........That way if it's toooo much you can just strech out the coils and lose some tension.:yup:
That's my 2 cents.

I had the same exact same problem with 41K and it was the Master Cylinder. No amount of bleeding or jury rigging is going to fix it without replacing the cylinder. It only got worse in a very short time.

I'm having the same problem with my RAM Adjustablle Master Cylinder. My pedal returns half way or it slowly returns but when I pump-it it eventually goes back to normal. I'm thinking of bleeding it but is there a quick way to do so? Thanks

what should i do about my pedal returning half-way? should i add more fluid to the resevior or bleed it? i'm not sure how to bleed it either. can someone please give me some pointers. it's really annoying driving while my pedal needs to be pushed up. thanks
