Ok, there is a thread on here about what the F-body's dyno at and run in the quarter mile, my question is what do the stock Corvettes with the same engine run, and dyno at.

well the corvettes use the EXACT! same engine..so they tend to dyno the same. um the 1/4 i'm not really sure..i think they stay in the 12s

They dyno about the same and run about the same too. Can break 12's like f-bodies but i think they are mostly 13sec cars stock.

they produce slightly more power out of the ls1 and they weigh less than our cars, i'd say with a bad / normal driver 13.5 at worst, but with a good driver high 12's all day

I started with 272rwhp in my 2001 Z28. Thanks to the good advice and a dynotune I am up to 337rwhp. My next step is in question, but headers are the advice I am getting. I am also considerung a FAST intake and high pressure fuel injectors.

2001 Z28 A4 Slp cold air intake, air box lid, K@N filter, Granatelli MAF, Smooth air bellows, Bored out throtlle body, Crane Gold Roller Rocker Arms, SLP Y-Pipe, Magna flow cat back. SLP underdrive, Mezeire water pump.
Subframe connectors, Control Arms, Panhard rod, Strut brace, Sway bars, Polyurethane bushings, Tokico shocks.

with a 6 speed you are more likely to see some 12's, but most of them will be in the low 13's, like 13.0, 13.1 and the auto's will be a few tenths slower. I ran my 2000 a few weeks ago, a auto with 3.15 gears, stock tires, and the only mod that I have that added anything to the car was a vararam intake, I had 4 runs, 13.1, 13.1,13.0, and which made my day:yup: 12.9, I thought that they were pretty good times for a basicly stock vette

I got this from the corvette forum

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is based on GM's data:

Axle........ 0-60 MPH..... 1/4 Mile
A4 3.15... 4.75 Sec...... 13.50 Sec
M6 3.42... 4.55 Sec...... 13.25 Sec

Keep in mind that the MN6 has the advantage of a 3.42 rear. Put the same rear in an A4 and the it is pretty much even.

wrong vettes produce the exact same power.

LSx engines break in so different and are built so loose that some are factory freaks and some are weak.

i heard from a few guys that the ls1 gains a few hp over the years at around 80,000 k depending if it was serviced and kept oiled and such! is this true

that holds true and will hold true with other engines as well, because the engine becomes loose. Yes this loose can be good but it can also be bad making more noises then PISTONS SHAKEN IN A PAINT CAN.
