Drag Radials

how much does a set of drag radials help your et in a manual car. Say some Nittos or Bfgs. In tenths please and 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile. I know this will be different based on specific mods, but im trying to get a rough estimate.

I would say anywhere from .3 to .5. Remember though, if you don't have the power to turn em they will actually slow you down trap speed wise.

Just got her dynoed again, she turned 343 rwhp and 351 rwt, is that enough? Picked up 8 rwhp with the dual cutouts open.

can't really say. they only help if you have traction issues to begin with. then you have to remember they are causing more friction. so, you have to overcome that amount of drag.

gearing helps too. I had 373HP with 4.33 gears and I was spinning the crap out of my nittos, they are 315/35R17. They are good for the street but bad at the track. If you can feather the clutch then you can cut some good times. I prefer ET streets at the track because I can dump the clutch at 5k and let her rip.

They can help out alot, though I advise against the nittos. Nittos need to be heated up for a ridiculous amount of time. It's great if you have line lock, but otherwise you'll have to do a brake stand. The BFG's hook alot better, and they don't require all that much of a burnout.

My guess is you'll drop .2 - .3 sec. from your 60' time.
