Do you hear the pump priming?

Never run a car out of fuel these days if you can help it, ...
Today's fuel pumps are known for burning up/out if they run for too long without fuel running thru them.

When you turn the key to the on position, can you hear the pump run for a moment as mentioned above?!? If so, then it's probably not the pump. If not, & you've been trying over & over & over, with the key in the on position, there's a chance that the pump is already gone, ...

But it's probably too late to answer now anyway, ...
Did ya get it figured out?!?

damn..they should put a little gauge or something on these things that tells you if you're near empty...

Great help _ |

Does it stutter and not stay running?? Or does it even try to start other than it turning over??

The line may just be dry. How many times have you tried to start it??
Turn the key to the on position and back off 3-4 times and then try.
If nothing...replace the fuel filter.
As mentioned, listen for the pump priming itself when turning the key to the on position without firing the starter.

I went with the fueler empty aftermarket gauge and gained 20 rwhp on the dyno. Ha.

Seriously, I would have to agree with everyone above. Your pump might be shot to hell. I do it occasionally but try never to run below a quarter tank because of the fuel pump possibly burning up.
