I have a 1997 T/A M6 with TCS and I plan to do road course days with the car. I also plan to get R-Compund tires.

The car has 70K on the Odo, with a new specIII clutch. No power mods to speak of (yet.)

I am concerned about what might happen if I take a high-G turn and the c-clip breaks.

Someone mentioned to me that there are kits to eliminate the c-clips and retain the axles more securely. I tried searching, but c-clips doesn't work well (in various formats) because the letter C is too often found. :(

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I am planning to upgrade to a 12-bolt in the future, but I'd like to wait a year if I can.

Do the 12-bolts have C-Clips retaining the axles too?

I do know Moser offers their setups with C-clip eliminators and that there are some available for the GM 10 bolt.

i don't think theres enough room for c-clp eliminators on the 7.5 w/ factory dics brakes. the Strange 12 bolt will come w/ 9" style ends where the bearing is captive by a retainer plate or the brake bracket. don't spend any $ on the 7.5 in the axle dept. not worth it.
