Quick intro, My name is Jeff, I live in Wisconsin, I own a Mazda RX-7, and I HATE winter!

Heres the story, I've owned my 1993 RX-7 for about 4 years now. In those 4 years I have driven this car about 2.5 months. At first I thought the idea of a rotory motor was GOD, after 2 years and about $65.000 later I realized that rotory SUCKS!!! Broke and car-less, I journy out on a Toyota Surpa motor to make it run, bad idea. Now almost 2 years later I still have nothing but a very large and expensive paperweight.

After many drunkin' nights at the shop, I agreed to sell the 2JZ, and replace it with an LS1 and T56. Without a doubt a good idea, but not in my plans. The problem is I have no way of finding an LS1 or a T56, which has brought me here. Too sum it all up, I'm short on cash, need an LS1 and T56, and would like it to be finished by the time snow falls. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
-Jeff

A great place to find salvage engines and transmissions from wrecked cars is http://car-part.com/

Just out in any year 98-02 Chevy Camaro or Pontiac Firebird, select "8 cylinder" for the engine, and check them out. Same for the trans, just select 6 speed manual as the option.

Also try eBay Motors, you can find some good deals on engines/transmissions there as well.

Thanks for the advise, I found a motor/trans already. On a side note donations will be excepted, but not counting on them.
