...do they make speakers w/ different hole patterns? If you have a 6.5 speaker made from ANYONE, it should line up to the freaking holes made for a 6.5 speaker right? I guess that would make to much freakin sense!! And When I took out the hatch speakers I found out they're NOT even 6.5's like EVERYONE says they are, they're 3.5's. Sorry, just thought changing my sailpanel speakers would be alil easier. Having one of those days!

speakers are 6.5's up front and in the sails, up front also can have tweeters seperate and the sales might be woofers depending on which stock system you have. the hatch is 4" and 1" i thought but i'm not in front of my info... just remember if you read it on the net try and find it about 60 other places too before you take their word for it.

you should have 4" speakers in the rear hatch, 6.5 mid bass in the sail panels and 6.5 in the doors. i don't know why you'd have problems mounting the speakers. where you putting them in the door or in the sails? and i'm not sure who EVERYONE is, but anyone that tells you that you have 6.5" stock in the rear hatch is :slash:

I bought 6.5 Fosgate Punch's for my sailpanels... They have at least 30 holes around the outter lip and NONE of them line up man, so I had to drill new holes. My point is that if you have a standard size speaker, shouldn't there be a STANDARD hole pattern? Who told me I have 6.5's in the rear... The computer at Best Buy, a guy at a GM autoparts center, and the booklet at PepBoys.

no disrespect, but you have 500+ posts, you should have checked here before checking with those parts guys. cause we all know they :slash: and the 6.5's you got, are they subs? just curious. and did you try lining one hole up, and adjusting the speaker to the other holes? i had to do that with my front ones. hope you got everything mounted up, and hooked up. the important thing is, how does it sound?

sgt0704,

Well I know those guys are retarded, but it was documented in books that we have 6.5's in our hatch.

Of course I tried lining up the holes. I've got 2way Fosgate Punch's in the sails.

It sounds freakin great, and I watch my battery gauge bounce all around when I crank it, but not enough yet to cause it do go dead on idle.

i seem to think they got the "hatch" messed up with "sail" probably just says "rear" and that's what they figure.

6 1/2 speakers are common on alot of cars so aftermarket speaker companys cant make them fit all kinda sux but there out to make as much money off that speaker as possible they dont care if u have to drill in to your car or not Apline type R speakers and Type X speakers bolt right in with no problems at all or drilling
