this is for all the big Horsepower guys out there. I just bought a Ls1 block. I am building it up and puting a procharer on it looking for 700+ at the wheels. I need help with the internals. Part #s, brands etc would be good. Please go into detail of what i have to get for the motor as i am lost and want to do this right. I Found a guy puting out 717whp on exotic performance website but cant find his specs. This is going to be a weekend street/strip car. Please help!:nana:

I have Diamond pistons and Lunati rods in my car. The stock crank is good up to around 800-900 hp in some cases it has seen more. I am not a a big dog though.

So how is Bloomington? I grew up in Moline.

Ummm.....it can and has been done.....plenty times over.....700 rwhp is attainable if you have the money...It took me a LS2 402, Stage III heads, Custom Fuel System, 76mm Turbo, Custom Cam, Methanol Injection, the list could go on an on.......I got mine on 15lbs of boost and yes....on pump gas.......but the methanol had a lot to do with that.....

Its possible. I am only at 666 because my blower is way to small. I am still running that puny little P1.

With the D1, I should be able over 600. And the Nitrous should put me over 700. At least I hope so.

lol yea...i'm not saying like the instant you get to the 700-800+ mark the crank is just going to go to shit, but all stress on it, i wouldnt doubt maybe less then a year intill it says fuck it.(excuse my french )

Maybe so but I dont think you'll see them last long.......why not spend a little extra and get a good crank that will last.....a little longer at least.......

Harlan ran about 1000hp at the wheels for over a year and half on his stock crank...

Yeah, I don't think that I have ever heard of a stock crank failing due to it breaking,(not that there hasn't been one) maybe not oiling good enough, but I would think that would be a different issue.:yup:

Stock rods and pistons...yes.... but how many stock rod/piston motors do you see making 700 +? Ive seen detonation snap many cranks in the TR world...which leads to windowing the block with a rod...

Yep, check out the vehicles in Atlanta. Several cars are making 750 + at the rear wheels (forced induction) with the stock crank. If the motor is a well balanced and well tuned machine, 750 -1000 rwhp is achievable with the stock crank. These cars in the Atlanta area have lasted for over 2 years so far, with normal street driving, dyno pulls, and several track days.

Good luck on your build.

Cali. sucks wouldn't mind being back in Georgia where high horsepower is a norm. Can't wait to see your #'s when that car of yours is done. :flex:
