About how much do you pay for insurance for your WS6s? I'm thinking about getting a 3/S, and I saw how much insurance was and now I'm considering getting a Trans Am instead. So what do you pay for insurance?

Something like $75 a`month.

27 years old, clean record, a little lower coverage than most since it gets very little miles.

I just got quoted today at $400 a month for full coverage. I'm 20 with a clean record. It looks like those insurance companies are going to be putting my F-body fun on hold for a while.

$121 a month, I'm 34 with 1 ticket. $250 deductible and 100/300 coverage. It was only $107 a month but they said the cost of doing business went up (bullshit).

how much do you guys think insurance will be for a 17 year old, clean record, 3.7 grade average, and full coverage will be on a 98 trans am?

$212 a month, I think 1 ticket no wrecks and I'm 21 with a '99 ta and I'm happy with that price because I used to pay $360 a month for a '99 v6 firebird because I had a careless driving ticket and I was 17. I tried to get a TA back then but they said I'd be paying $800 a month for that so I got the v6

When i got mine at 19 I got raped, 3300/year, full coverage, multiple discounts, 1 speeding ticket, 1 not at fault accident, $1000 deductible. Comp costs more than collision for me, blame it all on living 3miles from 8mile(detroit border). Now at 21, it dropped to a little over $2000/year, same coverage, lost the student discount though. Still getting screwed, but I have a better job now so it doesnt hurt that much. BTW, the $3300/year translated to roughly $270/month. Now it would be roughly 165-170/month, but I pay every 6 monthes so figure it was $1094 and change when I paid it last week.

ps. I'm with state farm

I'm 18 and living at home while I go to college for the these two years untill I move to chicago. I'm looking at a WS6. What would you guestimate my insurance if it was on my parents plan, but the car on my name with no tickets and no accidents and a good students discount. It's a 98 btw. State farm. and a small town of about 13,000

Before I got my car I got the vin and gave it to the insurance agent and she gave me a quote. It might be a lot easier if you do that bc insurance is going to change depending on where you live and you personal history.

thats the exact same boat i was in, small town 13,000 poeple and my insurance shared with my mom, full coverage is $75 a month. no tickets or accidents. I use Unigaurd insurance. I think one reason its so cheap is because we insure EVERYTHING under them. house, life, auto (6 vehicles).

Insurance will be different from company to company, and is influenced by your driving record, how far work is from home, the area you live, how many and what types of policies you carry with the insurance company, your credit score, whether you get school discounts, the vin# of the specific vehicle, the deductibles and coverages you choose, how you pay (monthly/yearly, etc), etc...

The best thing to do is contact your insurance company before you buy and give them the vin# of what you're looking at and they can give you a car specific quote. You can shop around if you're paying too much, or adjust your deductibles and coverage if need be. Just be sure you're comparing apples to apples, not all insurance is created equal. You don't want to find out the hard way if you ever need it. Cheaper is not always better, look at the coverage.

Without trying to sound like a line from a dating service... 29, divorced female, in Arkansas, I pay $90 a month for full coverage. I have had a few tickets, but I think the last one I got was around 2 1/2 years ago. I've also had one accident (in a different car) but that was more than five years ago. I understand they really screw you guys (and not in the nice way), especially younger guys on insurance. Hooray for X chromosomes! :)
